PHYSIOFIT DUBAI
Padel Injuries Physio Dubai
Padel has taken over Dubai — and so have padel injuries. At PhysioFit in Business Bay, we treat padel players every week for shoulder pain, padel elbow, knee strains and wrist injuries. Our sports physiotherapists understand the explosive, rotational demands of the game and build rehab plans that get you back on court fast — and keep you there.
Common padel injuries we treat:
- Padel shoulder — rotator cuff strains and impingement from smashes and bandejas
- Padel elbow (lateral epicondylitis) — the padel version of tennis elbow
- Knee injuries — meniscus irritation, patellar pain and ligament sprains from lunges
- Wrist strains and tendonitis from repetitive strokes
- Calf strains and Achilles tendon problems from explosive direction changes
- Lower back pain from rotation and extension
- Ankle sprains on and off the court
- Muscle tears — hamstring, quad and groin
Why padel players get injured
Padel looks easy on the body — the court is small and the racket is light — but the reality is different. Hundreds of overhead smashes, rapid lateral lunges and constant wrist snap place huge loads on shoulders, elbows and knees, especially for players coming from desk jobs or returning to sport after a break. Most padel injuries we see are overload injuries: the tissue was asked to do more than it was prepared for. The fix is not rest alone — it is targeted treatment plus graded strengthening so the tissue can handle the game.
Our padel injury programme includes:
- Full movement and stroke-load assessment
- Hands-on treatment — manual therapy, dry needling, taping
- Rotator cuff and scapular strengthening for smash power
- Eccentric elbow loading for padel elbow
- Knee and ankle stability training for lunges and pivots
- Load-management advice — how often to play while healing
- Return-to-court testing and an on-court warm-up plan
Back on court, stronger
Our goal is not just to settle your pain — it is to make your shoulder, elbow or knee more resilient than before the injury. We work with padel players from social level to competitive tournaments across Dubai, and we know the frustration of sitting out. Expect honest timelines, measurable progress and a plan that fits your schedule.
What to expect at your session
Your first visit includes a full injury assessment plus a review of your playing volume and style. We will tell you clearly what is injured, why it happened, and exactly what the road back looks like. Most padel injuries respond within 4 to 8 sessions when treatment is combined with the right loading programme.
